Heres something you may have never seen before!
It is called a Bi-Directional Amplifier or BDA for short. It has been especially designed for our Sprint PCS users who need better coverage within buildings. BDAs have been around for a long time. Traditionally, they have been very pricey, often costing up to five thousand dollars. Our new BDA has beat the old pricing by a factor of ten. It is LESS than $500 ($499 to be exact) and that includes EVERYTHING!
A BDA basically picks up a cellular signal from an area where good signal strength is present (such as near a window) using a donor antenna connected by a cable to a repeater and associated antenna as shown on the following page.
The repeater amplifies the signal received from the donor antenna and amplifies the received signal by a factor of 70 dB with a power output of 7 dBm. Roughly translated, this means you can generally cover an area inside a building where no signal was previously present over a range of approximately 500 square feet. The diagram below provides a schematic of an operational BDA system.

Unlike earlier BDAs, you do not have to possess an engineering degree or be equipped with expensive test equipment to set up the installation. Since the repeater unit has a built in antenna, the main objective in making the installation is to (a) find a location with suitable signal strength for the donor antenna and then (b) position to repeater antenna to provide maximum isolation between the two antennas. This is done by using a bar level indicator on the bottom right side of the repeater. When you have maximum bars indicated, you have correctly positioned the repeater antenna for optimum performance. You can order this item on line at our Internet virtual store, http://falconwireless.goemerchant7.com in the Sprint section or by specifying item SP000D in the Search box.
When ordering, you will need to specify whether the Sprint system in your area uses frequency bands A/D or B/E. Although all Sprint systems operate in the 1900 MHz band, there are two different primary bands. It is important that the correct band be specified on your order. If you are a Falcon Wireless Sprint customer or unable to obtain the information from your local representative, we will obtain this it for you.
The BDA for improving in-building cell phone coverage for Sprint users is just one of may products offered by Falcon Wireless to help our customers enjoy the maximum benefits of wireless communications.
We also design and manufacture many products of our own, often working with other specialty manufacturers to provide a total system solution. If you would like to know more about some of these products, please give us a call at 1-800-489-2611. If it is wireless, we can do it!
